You're fighting The Boss Bat?

Okay. So. There's this large two-headed bat, which is plainly dead, and has been hung from the ceiling by a series of ropes and rudimentary pulleys, turning it into the most grisly marionette you've ever seen. And that includes the time your kingdom's press corps experimented with using puppets to re-enact political executions when disseminating news to the outlying villages.

You spot several beefy bodyguard bats hiding behind stalagmites. Some of them pull on the ropes, making the giant bat corpse jiggle menacingly toward you. Another shouts into a megaphone: "An intruder! Do not worry, brethren, I shall handle this myself, for I am completely alive and as strong as I ever was!" Good grief.

The puppeteers cheer as they successfully cause the Boss Bat to headbutt you in the <thigh>. Ow!

The giant bat corpse swings across the room at you, but you duck. Unfortunately, it catches you on the return swing after you stand back up. Ooh! Ouch! Oof! Ouch!

The bodyguard bats tug on one of the ropes, and you get thwacked in the face by a giant wing. Ouch! Ow! Argh! Ow!

The bodyguards try to hit you with the Boss Bat's wing, but their shouts of "Left wing go!" kind of telegraph the move.

The puppeteers try and make the Boss Bat bite you, but they've rigged the ropes incorrectly and it just gives you a creepy smirk. Ugh!

You dive out of the way as the giant bat corpse marionette swings across the room at you. Do adventurers actually have to deal with stuff like this every day? Good grief. No wonder they're so crazy.
