Because Stereotypes Are Awesome
From TheKolWiki
You disentangle yourself from the fracas, step up to the bar and catch Bart's eye. He puts down the glass he was polishing and approaches you. "What'll you have?" he asks. "Special today's the Brendan O'Wallbanger."
"What's that?"
"Pint of stout with a shot of whiskey in it, a drizzle of Irish cream, and garnished with a leprechaun."
"Okay, I'll try that... wait, what?"
Too late. The bartender hands you your drink, and by the time you manage to fish the leprechaun out of the glass, he's already drunk most of it. Still, what's left is fairly tasty.

- The title refers to the Irish drunk-stereotype.
- The drink's name is likely a combination of the names of the Harvey Wallbanger and Saint Brendan's Irish Cream Liqueur, while the drink components listed here (stout, whiskey, Irish cream, and a leprechaun) are all stereotypically Irish. The drink is also very similar to an Irish Carbomb.
