Notes

  • Causes up to 5 combats per day to not take a turn.
  • These cannot proc on monsters that are already inherently free, but can on fights with turn-taking monsters that are free due to other circumstances such as fighting monsters in a Shadow Rift with Shadow Affinity active, or using Darts: Aim for the Bullseye from the Everfull Dart Holster.
  • The proc rate is currently estimated at 1/(X+2), where X is the current number of activations today.
  • Occurs with the following post-combat message:
You flap your bat wings gustily and launch yourself to your next adventure in an instant.
  • Causes there to be a chance for a Fruit to drop after each non-underground combat.
With your keen bat senses, you catch a whiff of ethylene and then echolocate the source.
  • Unlocks special once-per-ascension free noncombats when adventuring in zones in The Bat Hole for the first time in ascension while equipped, providing an item in each noncombat.
  • Gives you a "Leap across with your bat wings" option that lets you jump across The Orc Chasm once the bridge is 5/6ths built.
  • Opens a new choice in the Random Lack of an Encounter noncombat choice adventure (in The Penultimate Fantasy Airship) that gives Immateria/the S.O.C.K. (only available if required turn delay has been met), in addition to reducing the overall delay to finish progressing through the quest from 25 adventures to 20 (from 5 turns of delay between each mandatory quest item starting to be able to appear to 4 turns between each).
  • While equipped when adventuring underground, will always give one of the following bonuses after combat, with ~25% chance for each of the following options:
  • HP and MP-restore equivalent to current player level.

  • When equipped, gives the following skills
  • Swoop like a Bat, a guaranteed Pickpocket that does not remove the item stolen from the monster's drops. Can be cast once per combat, usable up to 11 times per day.
  • Summon Cauldron of Bats, which costs 1 MP and deals 5*Level Physical Damage and 5*Level Spooky Damage, dealing extra damage against opponents that count as multiple opponents (see Group Monsters), hitting up to 11 opponents. Can be cast once per combat, usable up to 11 times per day.
  • Rest upside down, a non-combat skill that restores 1000 HP and MP, usable up to 11 times per day.
  • Is automatically placed in your inventory for you at the beginning of your run, with the message:
As you rematerialize, your bat wings flap out of the ether and into your pack.
