Ancient guardian statue
|Ancient guardian statue|
|Locations||The Jungles of Ancient Loathing|
|Monster Parts||arm, head, leg, torso|
As he pushed through the dense jungle undergrowth, Krakrox came upon an ancient weathered statue, a rough, blocky representation of a human form. Presumably the builders of the ancient city had placed them around to ward off evil spirits and the like.
As its eyes suddenly flash with green light and the head slowly turns to face you (and/or Krakrox... man, these temporal shifts will have been the death of me), it occurs to you that maybe they were put here to ward off living adventurers as well.
The statue hits your <arm> with a blow that feels like a sledgehammer. Looks like a massive bruise will be its testimony. Ouch! Ooh! Ooh!
The statue hits your <head> with a blow that feels like a sledgehammer. Or at least, that's the name you call it by.
The impact of the statue's fist hits you like a ton of bricks. Literally. Eek! Argh! Eek!
THUMP. The guardian drives you into the soft earth with a blow to the top of your head. THUMP. Is it humming "I've Been Working On The Railroad"? THUMP. Yes, yes it is. THUMP. Eek! Ooh! Ouch!
Krakrox dove and rolled between the statue's legs as it swung at empty space.
Krakrox dove to one side and was showered with splinters of wood as the guardian punched a massive hole in a tree.
A stiff breeze blew in Krakrox's hair as he narrowly ducked beneath the swinging stone arm of the ancient statue.
The statue freezes up for a moment. Centuries of erosion must've played hell with its joints. (FUMBLE!)
