This damp scroll has a few words on it, apparently written in some sort of waterproof ink. The language uses letters and punctuation that you recognize, but the words themselves hold no meaning to you. The first letter of it is really big, ornately decorated, and illuminated with gold foil.

Horrific images begin to dance in your mind -- three-lidded eyes in the darkness, tentacles squirming along the ocean floor, publicity stills from Battlefield Earth... Your mind reels at the horror, but your body feels strangely replenished...

Notes
Only heals for 300 hp above water.
Underwater, it heals for 1000+ hp, and may be a full heal.
