  <name> bangs his cymbals and does an arrhythmic, jerky dance around the maypole. Same as it ever was.

• With wax lips equipped:

  <name> manages to look even creepier with his blood-red wax lips. shudder.

• "Clang, clang, clang went the monkey" may be a reference to "The Trolley Song", written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane and popularized by Judy Garland in the movie Meet Me In St. Louis. The song's refrain begins with "Clang, clang, clang went the trolley".
• Also, "A wink and a smile" is probably a reference to a song of the same name with music by Marc Shaiman and words by Ramsey McLean.
• "Same as it ever was" in the maypole message is a reference to a line from the Talking Heads song "Once in a Lifetime" and more specifically David Byrne's style of dancing while performing the song (as seen in their movie Stop Making Sense).
• This familiar is probably a reference to the movie Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders, which is most commonly known for being featured on Mystery Science Theater 3000. One part of the movie involves a demonic cymbal-playing monkey that causes someone or something to die every time it claps its cymbals. The Tam O'Shanter message probably also refers to this as well, as the monkey had red "bloodshot" plastic eyes.
  • It's worth mentioning that this movie took all its monkey-related footage from The Devil's Gift, which was itself based on (but did not credit) Stephen King's short story "The Monkey", and the Cymbal-Playing Monkey may be based on either of those two instead.
