Every Booze has an associated drunkenness factor (ranging from 1 to 7), which determines how drunk you get. You enter a drunken stupor when you reach a drunkenness of at least 15 that day (20 drunkenness if you have Liver of Steel).
A common strategy is drink up to 14 (19) drunkenness, use all your adventures, over-drink past 15 (20), then either burn the resulting turns off in the Clan Rumpus Room, or bank them for the next day.
