Ability: Gives stats like a volleyball and deals damage like a lime, attacking 20% of the time. The stat gains are multiplied by a factor depending on the moon phases.

Combat Messages
- Regular messages:
- <name> slithers, strikes, and sinks its fangs into him/her/it, dealing X damage and injecting him/her/it with nasty, nasty poison.
- After combat:
- <name> unhinges its jaw and gapes at you. It kind of looks like a giant smile -- an incredibly terrifying smile, but a smile nonetheless.
- With lucky Tam O'Shanter equipped:
- <name> lazily winks one soulless, reptilian eye from beneath the Tam O'Shanter.
- With miniature gravy-covered maypole equipped:
- <name> does a sidewinding dance around the maypole.
- With wax lips equipped:
- <name> unhinges its jaw and pokes its fangs through the wax lips.
Arena Message
- When entered in Hide and Seek:
- <name> is a rattlesnake, not a stealthsnake.
Notes
- The multiplier for the stat gains is equal to 1.30–0.15*(grimace darkness).
- After being attacked by the Baby Mutant Rattlesnake, an enemy will become poisoned and the following message will be displayed in subsequent combat rounds:
- Your opponent writhes as <it> takes X damage from the poison.
- X is initially 80% of the original damage dealt by the attack, rounded down, and is decreased by 1/2 (rounded down) until it no longer deals damage.
