• The last part of the description of this item are similar to the antagonist's last lines in the movie Se7en, "Become vengeance, David. Become Wrath." Wrath is one of the seven deadly sins in Roman Catholic lore.
• The fact that this potion is made with grapes is a refence to the novel The Grapes of Wrath.
