- May be referring to the Legend of Zelda, in which the second sword you got was the White Sword, which was two times as strong as a normal sword. This is probably where the enchantment +2 muscle came from.
- May be referring to the Open Battle.NET on Diablo II, in which players would frequently use hacked swords or any other equipments (with ludicrous enchantments) which were white in color. It may also refer to a certain period on v1.09 of Diablo II when such hacked items became available on the closed Realms.
