- In the late 1960s through the late 1980s, Wisk detergent ran a commercial in the United States, wherein people were told rather annoyingly by a complete stranger, "You've got ring around the collar!" and other strangers watching would chant, "Ring around the collar! Ring around the collar!" to the tune of "Ring Around the Rosey". This refers to a stain around the inside of one's collar.
