What the Cluck?

You encounter a black-checked tablecloth spread out in the shade of one of the black forest's towering trees. Off to one side, you see a badminton net, and four chickens eagerly batting a shuttlecock back and forth across the net. Heh. Shuttlecock.

The chickens see you approach, and a rooster walks over to have a word with you. "Hey, human," he says. "How's it going?"

"Wow, a talking chicken -- nevermind. Uh, okay I guess. How're you?"

"Well, my hens and I were hoping to have a nice little picnic out here, and I guess it's going okay, but it turns out all we packed was black food in our picnic basket. The girls won't eat it. They can't stand black food -- just the sight of it turns their stomachs."

"Really? I thought all chicken folk loved black food."

"Look, human, those stereotypes aren't funny, and they aren't going to win you many friends." The rooster motions for you to lean forward so he can whisper in your ear. "Look, human," he says, "I'm not going to be fertilizing any eggs today if this food is here when the badminton game is done. Do a rooster a favor and take it with you? That way, I won't have to peck your shins for that species-ist comment you made earlier."

You hastily agree, grab the black picnic basket, and get out of there. You find any desire you had to eat chicken nuggets has disappeared completely.
