We Apologize To Our English Players For the Lameness of the Pun
You search the flotsam-strewn beach for a while, looking for the alchemist's lost gunpowder shipment. You're unable to find any, and briefly consider that there may be some kind of conspiracy to keep you from finding it. You decide, however, that such a gunpowder plot would be partly mental, if not completely insane.
You wander further along the beach, trying to remember what was so important about the fifth of Boozember anyway, when you discover a large wooden crate stencilled with the red cross that is the symbol of the Pharmacists' Guild. Levering open the lid, you find a supply of scurvy cures that must've been lost enroute to the Obligatory Pirate's Cove.
Occurs at Sonofa Beach

- The fifth of Boozember (and the Gunpowder Plot) is a reference to Guy Fawkes Day (November 5th), which remembers an attempt to destroy the houses of Parliament. Thus, also, the loose pun "partly mental."
- Guy Fawkes Day and a gunpowder plot to blow up Parliament features heavily in the 2006 movie V for Vendetta, in which the Norsefire political party against which the titular V fights uses a red cross, the Croix de Lorraine, as its symbol. V also appears at some points during the film to be partially insane.
- The phrase "scurvy cures" is a reference to the stereotypical English epithet "scurvy cur".
