They Gave at the Morgue
You nearly trip over a skeleton lying on the floor, and jump back with your weapon drawn. It doesn't rise up to attack you, so you nudge it with your foot a bit, and then poke it with your weapon. Nothing happens, so you deduce it to be, not an animated undead, but a normal garden-variety skeleton (though what that says about your garden...)
Crouching down for a closer look, you find an ancient dry-rotted bindle next to the skeleton, and deduce it to be the remains of a hobo. Then you spot some scratches in the floor: triangle, zig-zag line over two squares, two half-circles... as best as you can make out, it means "don't ask the big one for a handout".
You make some notes in your hobo glyph binder.
