Combat Messages

Regular Messages:
- Start of combat:
  <name> engulfs your opponent. <He/She/It/They> come out looking slightly younger and less powerful.
- In combat:
  Just as <he/she/it> goes to attack you, <name> sends <him/her/it> back in time by a few seconds and the attack never happens.
- After combat:
  <name> shimmers briefly, and you feel it getting earlier.
  You gain 1 Adventure.
With lucky Tam O'Shanter equipped:
<name> pulsates rapidly. You get a vague premonition of a distant future in which temporal riftlets have eyes and can wink at you.
With miniature gravy-covered maypole equipped:
<name> pulsates rapidly. You have a vague memory of it dancing around a maypole at some point in the distant past.
With wax lips equipped:
<name> smiles in slow motion with the lips that are somehow suspended in his howling void.

Arena Messages

November 2005's special of the month from Mr. Store.
The Riftlet blocks at the same rate as the Levitating Potato (1.5% per pound, maximum of 90%).
The current hypothesis is that you get a free adventure from the riftlet (weight/1000) of the time.
When this familiar "engulfs your opponent" and it comes out "looking slightly younger and less powerful", the opponent is deleveled by floor(wt/2). This can only happen on the first round of combat.
