Scale with level?

My current theory:

Theory: HP loss = (level*2)+random(level) ; MP gain = (level*3)+random(level*3)

Addendum: Elemental resistance does NOT appear to have an effect on reducing the damage (tried with black eyedrops). However, a phial of spookiness will reduce it to 1. --Bigcalm 12:07, 25 January 2008 (CST)

Addendum addendum: Damage Absorption/Damage Reduction doesn't appear to have any effect either ?!! Oh and formula is pretty much confirmed, I just need a couple of low-level data points before I update the wiki, /clan are working on it. --Bigcalm 12:45, 25 January 2008 (CST)

Spooky Resistance?

It doesn't seem like having spooky resistance is affecting damage reduction. I didn't notice any difference in damage received. I was under the impression resistance is a percent reduction, is that right?--Xclockwatcher 19:50, 25 January 2008 (CST)

  • I went from meager spooky resistance (~66 spooky damage per adventure) to major spooky resistance(~35 spooky damage per adventure), and there was a significant damage decrease. Just thought I'd throw that out there.--Jimmy da Elf 22:10, 26 January 2008 (CST)

Reference

Do we really know for sure that the suicide reference in question is definitely a reference to the one in Analyze That? The joke itself is not new, and certainly didn't originate there (a similar joke I heard as long ago as 1990 involved someone being stabbed in the back 47 times, which was described as "a household accident"). Unless Jick or someone else credited that as a source somewhere, I'd say the KoL description isn't really close enough to say that it definitively came from Analyze That (ie, reference should be removed). Bugs

I got a VERY minor bug today - every adventure said I got "muscularity" instead of "Mojo" points. I actually DID get mojo, as I was supposed to - just the label was wrong. over 300 adventures of this, though. Anyone else get this? --KhayPrower 14:22, 30 April 2008 (CDT)

  • That's not a bug. The name of the "MP" changes depending on what class type you are. I would guess you are either an SC or a TT. --Plater (t|c) 14:44, 30 April 2008 (CDT)

No More Spookyform

  • Spookyform no longer, repeat, no longer has an effect on the hit points lost, despite their being Spooky. Much suck.--Terry 23:19, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
