Talk:The Haunted Bathroom
From TheKolWiki
- Added new adventure, "These Pipes... Aren't Clean!" I spent a while in the bathroom earlier this run, but this adventure did not show up until I started the level 11 quest, so I am guessing it might be related. --Creepingcrud 09:40, 3 July 2007 (CDT)
Monster Levels
Just as a bit of clarification regarding the Malevolent Hair Clog, I just killed one with a fire spell that did 84 damage so their total hit-points would have to be 84 or under and not ~90 as written in the article.--CoolzInferno 11:09, 23 September 2006 (CDT)
- This zone seems to have several monsters with stats that don't follow the normal formulas. More verification would be nice. --Jonrock 14:33, 26 September 2006 (CDT)
- indeed, I was able to hit Malevolent Hair Clogs with only 100 moxie. --Hellochar 16:40, 29 September 2006 (CDT)
- Also, I was getting wasted even though I had over 100 moxie when going against the Bathtub. I hadn't used any +ML.--Golden cow2 18:54, 5 February 2007 (CST)
- The toilet papergeist is also "weird": with 101 Moxie and a R&R legend, the thing never hit me (aside from crits) but I was connecting less than 1/4 of the time as well, which suggests that the listed attack value/level (76) may be correct or close, but the defense of this thing is disproportionately high, at the very least over 101.--Salien 04:02, 20 February 2007 (CST)
- The bathtub's mox for no hit is DEFINTELY not 87, i got hit all the time with mox of 90...--Argus 02:06, 20 April 2007 (CDT)
Combat Frequency
- I think the 13.9% base combat encounter percentage is very wrong. It seems closer to 85%, although I don't have a large quantity of data to back this up. --Schizomilkman 20:19, 7 October 2006 (CDT)
- The two figures displayed on the page disagree with each other - 75% and ~85%. What gives? --Drachefly 09:29, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
- That's a good question. It appears that when Starwed added the infobox different data was used than that which Yiab provided the previous edit. I'm not sure if both conduced tests or one was a typo. --TheDotGamer 20:02, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
The combat percentage is definitely not 85% or above. I'm testing monster level at the moment, with +15% combat - and have been getting approx 10% noncombats (34/275 today). I would assume the 75.4% figure is more accurate. --BDrag0n 13:07, 5 May 2008 (CDT)
- further testing shows 146/1306 non-combats when running +15% combats (Monster bait, Hippy Stench, Cantata). That's 11.18% non-combat, so I'm going to change the page to reflect 75% rather than 85%.--BDrag0n 09:02, 10 May 2008 (CDT)
Having a Medicine Ball
New adventure as of 7 November: Having a Medicine Ball --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jacobm (talk • contribs) at 22:50, 7 November 2006 (CST). [clipped (a while ago) for readability, click here to see archived version] --TheDotGamer 20:02, 26 April 2007 (CDT)
- Say "Guy made of bees."
- If you say it 5 (I think) times, you will in fact encounter a Guy made of bees. He seems act very much like a tower monster, in that he did me 65k points of damage... I'm now trying out the new combat items. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by El Acordeonachi (talk • contribs) at 00:07, 8 November 2006 (CST).
- Okay, the hand mirror does something, but I'm not exactly sure how it affect the monster, since he killed me the very next round. I'm off to the mall to buy some more mirrors... --The preceding unsigned comment was added by El Acordeonachi (talk • contribs) at 00:10, 8 November 2006 (CST).
- Try Fancy Bath Salts; since salt->holy in some cultures and this guy's obviously some sort of demonic lunatic, that might be part of the solution. I expect it may require a sequence of items used in the right order, as well... -Fatmus 00:16, 8 November 2006 (CST)
- On the forums they're saying you have to use a "mirror" against him.--Jubbers 00:21, 8 November 2006 (CST)
- I selected "Gaze deeply into the mirror" with no mirror, and gained 48 moxie subpoints. That's a bit outside the given range. I'm lvl 8 at the moment. I suspect if it were spaded out, it would be determined to be level related.--Tanamoril 10:28, 8 February 2007 (CST)
Lost Weapons?
There are reports on the forums of people losing weapons in here. I've not lost anything yet, but you might not want to equip anything valuable for the time being. *uses a lead yo-yo for now.....* --The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dawnshadow (talk • contribs) at 22:56, 7 November 2006 (CST).
- I haven't lost any weapons yet, but I think the 3 items from inside the cabinet are spleen items, that give you 20 stat (that's what I got), and a 10 adv. effect, which I'm guessing is a stat multiplier or addition, because I got 201 stat from the myst adv. here while having the Q effect, and it's a moxie day..Edit: actually it seems it gives you stats from one (say, moxie), the effect boosts one stat (myst.) and maybe multiplies or adds stat gained from adventures from the third stat (muscle), in my example the hair oil would do those particular things. --QWE 00:16, 8 November 2006 (CST)
- Any component of the Antique Arms and Armor now has a chance of breaking. All other eqipment is safe.--Jubbers 00:21, 8 November 2006 (CST)
Clover Adventure
NEW CLOVER ADVENTURE!
As a level 7 Seal Clubber with 33 Myst, I got 102 Myst substats from it. I only had 1 clover at the hermit though and am in ronin, forgot to get the text. Oh, and the first option on Having a Medicine Ball is a moxie substat boost. Got 54 moxie substat with 39 moxie.

Myst Cap on Clover adv?
I just did the mysticality boost with the clover and got 312 substat. Today isn't a mysticality day, and it says the cap is 300.
--Eckscalibur 18:40, 6 February 2007 (CST)
- Yeah, the cap isn't exactly 300. It's varies slightly, maybe +/- 15 or some other number like that. I know I've gotten above 310 substat from the Manor clover adventures on non-stat days too. --TheDotGamer 20:06, 6 February 2007 (CST)
It's at least +/- 24. In leveling up to 15 as a Sauceror (I'm level 12 now), all of my gains have been over 300, with 324 being the highest thus far. It's not a stat day, I was born under the Vole, and I'm not using any equipment or under any effects that affect stat gains. Maybe it's closer to the numeric value of 'e' instead of 2. I'm not sure that the devs are that dorky, but it's a possibility.--Jholewczynski 00:04, 7 June 2007 (CDT)
Grudge stat gains
Some work on spading the bathroom is being done here: http://afh.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=196&mforum=afh. Our preliminary results on the bathroom stat gain formula have been added. Expect minor changes, but the formulas are much more accurate than what was previously available.--QuantumNightmare 00:22, 12 May 2007 (CDT)
- The caps on the grudge adventures are similar to the caps on clover gains: there is still some random variation in the gains. Max 200 means the average gain will cap at 200, with some small variation happening from 180-220. I reverted the max gain to 200 because although gains up to 218 have been found, they occur rarely. Do we want to post the gains that will be found on average at any point, or do we want to post the maximum possible at any given mainstat value? In that case, grudge is 2.5*mainstat or less, instead of approximately 2.25*mainstat.--QuantumNightmare 22:57, 22 May 2007 (CDT)
Posting the average sounds better to me. But the text we have now ("max 200 Magicalness (approximately 2.25*mainstat)") is misleading. Perhaps "(approximately 2.25*mainstat Magicalness (max 200)) +/- 18"?
Also, the individual Don't Hold A Grudge values seem pretty far off -- for example, "Don't Hold A Grudge (Armwrestle)" claims the stat gain is 115-200. Somebody should fix those -- want me to do it? --PlatypusNinja 16:24, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
- Yeah, the individual pages have to be changed. I really don't know what should be posted for the grudge stat gains, what's the wiki's position on these things? You're right that it's not a hard max, but 220 isn't a good result either. The true gains are a completely random value between 2*X and 2.5*X, where X is your mainstat capped at 200 (or 125 for non-myst). However, the medicine ball is a hard cap.--QuantumNightmare 19:42, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
Infoboxes?
I don't know how to edit infoboxes, but there is a discrepancy between the combat rate quoted in the box and on the main bathroom article. 75% seems to be the correct value.--QuantumNightmare 11:25, 8 July 2007 (CDT)
