Should the information for when you get each tattoo be listed here? I just put on my Lumberjack suit for the first time: "Ah, the stoic stoicity of our stoic neighbors to the north. I shall paint one of their most enduring symbols. Never mind that they only really have one enduring symbol." Here's another: "The Gnauga -- the toughest of creatures. I will paint a portrait that shows the softness hidden behind the tough exterior." --Barnaby36

Shouldn't tattoo effects be listed? Like the martini has done.

• Answering Dorham's question - Yes. Getting an Oxycore (SUPER sparkling) tattoo will also get you a Hardcore (Sparkling) and a Regular (Non Sparking) Tattoo, if you don't already have these. - Criswell
  • When you complete an hardcore oxygenarian ascension, you receive only the super sparkling tattoo for that class. I currently have normal and super DB tattoos, but not the normal-sparking, non-oxy hardcore one. You receive the normal tattoo for your class at the start of your ascension, so it is impossible to achieve a super-sparkling tattoo for a class without already having the normal tattoo for that class.--Volante 01:38, 5 September 2006 (CDT)

Tattoo Order Suggestion

I'd like to suggest that the Outfit Tattoos be listed in the order that they appear on your Tattoo menu instead of alphabetically. The Filthy Hippy Tattoo would follow the Knob Goblin Harem Girl Tattoo in this case. - Criswell

Martini tattoo

I'm fairly certain that the martini tattoo does not, in fact, prevent Evil Olives from biting you. A character that has not yet unlocked the martini tattoo can still get the "It tries to bite you with tiny olive-y teeth, but backs off when it sees your martini tattoo" message. • I'm not sure. Im 100% certain that I've had a message along the lines of "the olive tries to bite you, but see's your martini tattoo and backs off". (i wasnt actually wearing the tattoo at the time). Whether this is a standard miss message, or has since been removed from the game Im not sure, but I do remember getting it. Actually, checking the wiki, its in there as well. Does it maybe just cause a slightly higher miss rate? -- Eugene

Grass Guise Tattoo

When viewing this page (Tattoo, with Firefox 1.5.0.5), the image for the Grass Guise tattoo (eggtat.gif) doesn't appear. The image definitely exists on the wiki. Anyone else with this problem? --Aemeth 20:18, 1 August 2006 (CDT)

Clown Tattoo

There is now a clown tattoo, even though it isn't an official outfit (the items don't state that they're part of an outfit). The pretentious artist says "Nothing embodies the sheer terror and unpleasantness of childhood so much as the Clown. The Everyman shall see this painting and weep!" I was wearing the clown pants, foolscap hat, bowtie, shoes and nose at the time.--Temporary man 16:43, 14 January 2007 (CST)

Furthermore, wearing all of these parts changes your avatar to "clowncostume.gif".

New Salad Tattoo

Take a look at KaNasty -- he's one of my clannies and got a new salad tattoo I can't find mentioned anywhere else. They think they got it from eating 5 salads, but they're not sure of the exact number required. Probably along the lines of the Martini tattoo? Is there a reason the Hodgman's Regal Frippery tattoo (and a couple others), are not in alphabetical order. I always assumed that was the order this list was sorted in. However, there may be some other reasoning that I'm just not aware of. --Gleezus 18:32, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
