Permanent?

Given the assumption that it would only be accessed by a Disco Bandit character, this skill would likely not be able to be carried over across ascensions, would it? TheMonkofDestiny 04:19, 25 May 2006 (CDT)

  • I just ascended my level 15 Disco Bandit after accquiring the skill, am now a Sauceror. It let me take the skill as a permanent one. As yet I am unable to get into the The Department of Shadowy Arts and Crafts to use the still. Since it's possible that unlocks at a later level (like the Accordian Thief access to the other guilds) I will check again after each level. But for now, it doesn't look it's much help unless you're a Moxie class. Someone will need to try keeping this skill as a permanent one and seeing if you can get into the still as an According Thief. --Greg1104 05:47, 25 May 2006 (CDT)

What will be interesting is if when the other two guilds get their tier 2 crafting stuff, if accordian thieves with the skills perma'ed can use the advanced crafting equipment. Who knows? Ryanbomber 21:19, 25 May 2006 (CDT)

  • Doubtful. Jick said on the radio that ATs will not have access to the still. They will probably not have access to the Wok or the other one either. --Pastamancer5 22:32, 27 May 2006 (CDT)
    • I am an AT who is using the still right now. My understanding of Jick's statement is that AT's won't be able to use their "sneak into other guilds" power to access the Wok of Ages or the Malus of Forethought, but the Still is right where I left it before ascending. --Tirian 19:42, 31 May 2006 (CDT)
      • I think that if you stay within main stat you can still use the respective item.--SomeStranger (T | C) 19:45, 31 May 2006 (CDT)

Does anyone know the effects of keeping this skill Perma rather than simple Advanced Cocktailing? If you perma Superhuman, does it allow you to summon five cocktail accessories a day without Advanced? --MrMatty 22:44, 31 May 2006 (CDT)

  • It mentions in the article that you need Advanced Cocktailcrafting AND Superhuman Cocktailcrafting in order to up the summon limit of the Advanced accessories. TheMonkofDestiny 00:32, 1 June 2006 (CDT)

I saved Advanced Cocktailcrafting and Superhuman Cocktailcrafting as permanent softcore skills, before I did a Hardcore Seal Clubber ascension. Now that I've defeated the Naughty Sorceress and broken the prism and I'm not limited by hardcore restrictions now, it doesn't show that I ever saved those skills. Does going hardcore erase your previously saved softcore skills? Should I email Jick about this?--Nione almie 06:51, 24 November 2006 (CST)

No need to worry. After you've broken the prism in Hardcore, you still don't have access to softcore permanent skills until your next softcore ascension. This prevents people from making their softcore permanent skills hardcore permanent.--Jubbers14 14:53, 24 November 2006 (CST)

Prerequisite discussion

Anyone know if Advanced is a pre-req for this? Can you take Superhuman before Advanced and does it do anything? --Psychoselya 22:03, 25 May 2006 (CDT)

  • Taking Superhuman Cocktalcrafting just gives you access to the still. So, presumably, you would be able to upgrade your cocktail goods, but not mix them with cocktail accesories. -GG Crono 21:09, 27 May 2006 (CDT)

Recipe Organisation

I added the recipe guide and some notes, since you do need to have the skill to mix the improved stuff together I though it should go here.--Anmbia

Why do we have the table with the improved names? We need to have the table similar to the advanced cocktailcrafting, where we use the original names, like whiskey + orange and stuff like that.... Holler 01:42, 9 August 2006 (CDT)

It's certainly very pretty. --Unnatural20 23:48, 12 January 2007 (CST)

Variant Spelling

Today while combining Calcutta Emerald and tonic water, the result had a variant spelling: jynnan tonix (no caps, I don't believe.) I searched on it and there's no mention of it in the KoL Wiki. Are there any other variant spellings? Is this too trivial to mention in the article? --Frosty Beverage 08:53, 12 December 2006 (CST)

See gin and tonic, check the plural. It is there. --Ryo Sangnoir 10:09, 12 December 2006 (CST)

The Blender Effect

Do we need the Note about the effect on SHC drinks from The Blender sign? All booze is affected by that sign. If the Note is kept, should a similar note be added to the Advanced Cocktailcrafting page? --Terion 21:56, 9 December 2007 (CST)

Mushroom Wines

I have Advanced Cocktailcrafting HC permed but do not have Superhuman at all. I am in aftercore and recently attempted to make the Fun-Guy Mansion's mushroom wines. It tells me I don't have the skill necessary. Do these wines require Superhuman Cocktailcrafting? I don't see this anywhere. --Mintmouse (talk) 01:31, 7 February 2016 (UTC)
