Talk:Staff of the Walk-In Freezer

From TheKolWiki

Jiggle

Just got this and got to level 12 to use it. Fights now give me a new option once per fight, "Jiggle your Staff of the Walk-In Freezer". It seems to do a few dozen points of damage and (I'm guessing) probably delevels. --Harry Crimboween 20:35, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

Bug

I'm seeing a regeneration of 10 HP per adventure rather than MP. I've reported a bug to Jick. --Evanzedd 15:47, 28 June 2007 (CDT)

  • It appears that most of the chefstaves are doing this. Very annoying. --rholliday 04:14, 1 July 2007 (CDT)

They seem to have been fixed. Mine is definitely regenerating MP and not HP.--Kenshin8671 03:53, 15 July 2007 (CDT)

Deleveling

Since this is a weapon with power of 10, I spaded as follows:

  • Adventured in the Hole in the Sky.
  • Hit once until successful, doing X points of damage.
  • Jiggled.
  • Hit again until dead, doing Y points of damage.

A weapon with power 10 will add 1 or 2 points to the damage, plus the 0-1 factor. Deleveling will affect the damage, but there may be a bit of skewing.

Let's say I start off hitting for 65 points, delevel 10 levels, and hit for 75 points. Very clean. But I could get the same results if I started off hitting 63-65, develing 12 levels, and hitting 75-77; or hitting 65-67, delveling 8, and hitting 73-75.

Given that, the difference Y-X could be two levels too low or too high.

Given enough examples, if the deleveling ranges from M-N, I should expect Y-X above to range from M-2 to N+2. I tested about 60 times, and got a range of 3-12 for Y-X. That gives a deleveling range of 5-10.--Foggy 17:06, 26 March 2008 (CDT)
