Talk:Skin of the Leatherback
From TheKolWiki
I have seen two places on the web report that this skill does -4 to damage received. If I verify it myself I will make the change... or if someone else wants to put in the info go ahead... (I am new to the wiki and therefore timid).

Well did a little testing on the effect of Skin of the Leatherback on the Yeti's and for me it only gave a -2 modifier to damage.
First 25 hits produced a range of 12-15 damage to me.... then I bought skin of the leatherback and the next 25 hits to me were for 10-12 damage.
Here is the actual data:
Without the skill: Hit 6 times for 12 damage, 6 times for 13, 11 times for 14 and twice for 15 damage
With the skill: Hit 7 times for 10 damage, 6 times for 11 damage and 12 times for 12 damage.
My stats 135,84,113. Buffs=rage, elemental, empathy, jalapeno, tenacity, leash, polka, jabenero, madrigal.

From forum thread Skin of the Leatherback (topic 66157) Jick writes: "It's not just a flat value -- it changes with your level." Thus, simple spading is not enough information and the permanat apssive nature of it makes it more difficult to determine. --Shagie 15:27, 16 August 2006 (CDT)
Started some spading at Talk:Weapon Damage with this effect active.--Dehstil (t|c) 19:20, 20 October 2006 (CDT)
Seems like a very good way to spade this out would be to plan a series of TT runs, taking it each time at different levels, and never perming it. It could be determined fairly easily how much damage it reduced per character level in this manner. --Id the Mildly Confused 16:31, 2 December 2006 (CST)
Does this skill also increase your max HP? --MedeaMelana 07:16, 27 January 2007 (CST)
