Talk:Porquoise

From TheKolWiki

I ascended from PM (mystical) to SC (muscular) with muscle sign (vole) and managed to end up with a Porquoise (moxie). Maybe it's based on secondary stat? (SC has moxie secondary; not sure about PM).

Same here, I ascended from a TT (muscle) to PM (mystical), with a mystical sign (The Opossum) and ended up with a Poquoise (moxie)... could it just be random perhaps? (or maybe the combination of muscle + sign = moxie?)

  • On the forums we've pretty much determined it's random. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it. --jin 09:04, 12 Jun 2005 (Central Daylight Time)

plural.

The plural for Porquoise is porquoises. I just don't know how to put it in. Thanks!PCG

porquoise=why?

Isn't that french for 'why' and maybe a pun on pork? Kewangji 17:47, 11 August 2006 (CDT)

  • No, it's a combination between "pork" and "turquoise". Just like "hamethyst" is a combination of "ham" and "amethyst". As for "baconstone", well, that's just a more generic one. Quietust 18:28, 11 August 2006 (CDT)

Cooking

I'm not messing with the pages, but these are now showing up as Cooking ingredients. Would someone like to do the honours? :) --Denarius 17:03, 20 June 2007 (CDT)

I tried combining it with a scrumptious reagent, didn't work --Anmbia 01:43, 23 June 2007 (CDT)

Tried making a pie out of it, no go. --Olaf the Hungry 01:07, 2 July 2007 (CDT)

Light Elves

I'm not familiar with this coding so please forgive or correct mistakes.

The statement "as the Silmarils were forged by the legendary Light Elves." is wrong. Light Elves did not make the Silmarils. Without going into too much detail...

The Silmarils were created by Fëanor, who was a Noldor, and a Calaquendi. Vanyar (The Fair) were also called Light Elves. Noldor (The Wise) were also called Deep Elves. Calaquendi (Elves of Light) were also called High Elves.

Given the seeming context of Pork Elves, using High Elves would probably be best, but Deep Elves or Elves of Light wouldn't be incorrect.

This covers most of it directly, and any related information isn't more than two or three clicks from it. http://www.glyphweb.com/ARDA/n/noldor.html For whatever that all is worth. --Celebmacil 05:25, 13 August 2007 (CDT)
