Spading

10 adventures is definately long enough. That ass on the field won't take it. We need someone to spade chances for between 0-9 adventures. I know that using one after another gets taken, in the same adventure, is a guaranteed take. I propose that, as each adventure passes, it has a 10% less chance of being taken- i.e. Using two in a row guarantees a take, while using one after using it last adventure is a 90% take. This could continue, to after 9 adventures being a 10% take. Spading needed; this is just a theory.--DaemonStryker 03:49, 21 August 2007 (CDT)

got a message today using it in the war frat gear on the battlefield vs. a hippy (second use of the day):

A nearby frat soldier sees you about to send a message to HQ, and says "Dude, bra. Don't bogart HQ's attention, bra -- you gotta look out for the rest of the brotherhood." Then he takes your phone and walks off. What a jerk!

Yeah, I got an attack, finished the battle on my own, then I used it again the next battle, and they took it. Any idea what triggers the phone taking? --Jimfromtx 16:46, 8 July 2007 (CDT)

I have used it only once every 2-3 fights without problems. --Killerrabbit 16:05, 27 July 2007 (CDT)

I have only recieved the MP heal, through maybe 5-10 uses a day. Is it a one type of use per phone, or cvan you get both (all three if you count losing it)? New update: You punch a few buttons on the phone, and a few seconds later, a naughty sorority nurse runs up to you. She gently kicks you into a chair with her high-heeled foot, then slowly removes a gauze garter from her leg before applying it to your wounds. You wipe the sweat from your brow as she walks off and you get ready to continue the fight, full of renewed vim and vigor. (this healed about 300 HP) It could be according to need. low Mp heals Mp, low HP heals HP, etc.--Gils 15:17, 7 July 2007 (CDT)

I have a theory with the Aid Combat Items (i.e the phone and windchimes) the rng will roll a number between 0-100 with 100 the item is taken instantly, each subsequent adventure the number required to use the item without being taken is increased by an amount. e.g 4 turns since last use of item rng rolls 70 while the number needed to use the item properly is 40, so therefore the item is taken--Averno 04:13, 6 August 2007 (CDT)

I had 300 out of 1005 MP when I used the PADL phone, and it did damage to the enemy. This means that you have to have less than 30% of your max MP for it to give you MP. --Dalgar 11:20, 3 September 2007 (CDT)

Perhaps it's not the number of turns, but the numbers of hippies you defeat per use. Can anyone confirm the more hippies you defeat, the quicker you can use it again? -- Infernohero

Well, the windchimes are 7 adventures/rounds, so I'd be guessing that these are the same. But that's just my guess. --Jimfromtx 00:16, 20 June 2008 (CDT)

Reference to Motorola

The name of this item is a reference to the phone PEBL by Motorola. --Lawleth 07:02, 6 September 2007 (CDT)

It first struck me as a reference to the PADD device from Star Trek and other science fiction. The name, shape, and function (calling for help from an unseen, ubiquitous support system) all tie in nicely. --Pastangum 20:25, 1 May 2008 (CDT)

Simpsons reference?

"even though they can't actually dial the phone with their fat fingers"
Could that be a reference to the Simpsons? The episode were Homer gets so fat that he can work at home. He has to call the police but can't dial, because his fingers are too fat. All he gets is a voice that says: "The fingers you have used to dial are too fat. To obtain a special dialing wand, please mash the keypad with your palm now."
Or is this too far-fetched?

oops, forgot the signature... LordHorst 11:05, 5 August 2007 (CDT)

I'd agree, sounds pretty likely to me. They've referenced practically everything else, why not the Simpsons? --Jimfromtx 14:42, 15 September 2007 (CDT)
