Talk:Naughty fortune teller

From TheKolWiki

Early testing seems to show it adds 5 substats... I was running it in the forest and back alley with no buffs and no other EQ and getting 6 substats total (at level 13) --Denarius 22:40, 31 January 2008 (CST)

+5 stats? That means it would be better than the Crimbo off-hand, right? Equestrian 22:49, 31 January 2008 (CST)

I was getting 5 or 6 substats in the Pantry (also level 13), making me think this is 4-5. --Wildfire393 23:31, 31 January 2008 (CST)

I just got a bonus of 8 substats from 1 and blue in the sleazy back alley completely naked (except the fortune teller) and with a pet rock as a familiar at level 11.--Hetchman 23:50, 31 January 2008 (CST)

@Hetchman: I ran it for over 30 adventures of 1-blue and only ever got 5. Did you have the quartet playing the +ML song? Any buffs? Pride? I really doubt TPTB are crazy enough to give potentially +8 substats like that. --Skin Deep 00:08, 1 February 2008 (CST)

Further results:

Session 1
Advs Used: 141 [Dire Warren]
Substats: 218 / 428 / 194 [Total of 840]

So ~5.96 stats average per battle, or +4.96 from the fortune teller. I should mention that I never saw anything except a blue-1 or an orange-2. The blue-1 always added 5, and the orange-2 always added 4. There was no +6, no +7, and certainly no +8. --Skin Deep 03:30, 1 February 2008 (CST)

I'm pretty sure my wife saw a "burnt sienna-number" last night, but as I didn't write it down, I don't know what the full message was. I think she was fighting in Itznotyerzitz Mine. There's more spading to be done, methinks.--Silantis 08:10, 1 February 2008 (CST)

I saw a #5 and I think "flesh" color, so there are more messages. The problem is that the appear to be really rare...which may be intentional, or may have been a programming error.--Foggy 08:13, 1 February 2008 (CST)

I wasn't paying attention to what I was getting this time around (yay for Mafia) so I may very well have missed any specials if they popped up. But these numbers should work to get a better fix on the average +stats per adventure:

Session 2
Advs Used: 183
Substats: 276 / 256 / 563
Total
Advs Used: 324
Substats: 1935
Average extra substats gained: 4.9722

The number that you pick is equal to the number of rounds you went with the monster. You are all seeing 1 and 2 cause you are testing against rabbits (and fumbling every so often). Three rounds: You pick "3" and "chartreuse" on the fortune teller. The double entendre you reveal makes you snicker a little.-- Discoshen
