Talk:Maximizing Your Elemental Resistance
From TheKolWiki
Myst classes intrinsic...
No matter what, a Seal clubber is not going to max out at 80%, so maybe throw something into the upper 2-3 categories about being in a myst class ascension. Other than that, neat idea. --J12601 23:37, 1 May 2007 (CDT)

orange peel hat.. bat-ass jacket.. the new elemental resistance jewelry.. what else?--Myst44 07:44, 6 August 2007 (CDT)
- Don't forget the exotic parrot. --Chunky_boo 13:21, 6 August 2007 (CDT)
villa and deity need only the effect of the 5 semirares, or the extra items need to stay there? --Kaiou 13:41, 6 August 2007 (CDT)
I think the battered hubcap would be better for the off-hand item cause it gives a huge hp bonus as well as so-so resistance to all elements. ---User:Draco 13:24, 25 August 2007 (EST)
- The battered hubcap has been one-upped by the six-rainbow shield; at least for the Villa and Ascender categories. --Kitsunegami 23:37, 22 July 2008 (CDT)
Why aren't any of the Really Expensive Jewelrycrafting earring's anywhere on this page? It seems they would be better than the accessories listed. There are 5 to choose from, and each one has 2 different serious resistances. Not to mention +3 to All attributes. --Peepsalot
- The reason for that is that this page hasn't been updated with the NS13 items. --Chunky_boo 15:57, 9 September 2007 (CDT)
- As I say a little later in the talk page here, duct tape dockers (NS13 item) are superior to the dungeoneer's dungarees, what with a higher base power and +6 to all attributes. Qaianna 05:03, 18 September 2007 (CDT)
I think that Hodgman's Disgusting Technicolor Overcoat should be used as at least at the deity level, considering that it gives Superhuman resistance to all elements, compared to the jersey which only gives Serious resistance to all elements.--Erct657 20:43, 29 August 2008 (CDT)
Under shirts there should also be shark jumper, giving Serious Resistance to All Elements. --CHAMELEON D H 12:41, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Use for page
I'm not sure how useful this particular page is. While it's handy to have the elemental resistances available, it can be rather easy to max them out. If I bother with it, I can slap on a Palm-frond cloak (So-so, 2), Duct tape dockers (Slight, 1, better enchantments than dungarees), a titanium assault umbrella (Slight, 1), and a Battered hubcap (So-so, 2)--which, for anyone not of a Myst class, is the maximum resistance. And the hardest ones are the hubcap and the dockers (duct tape drops rarely, and the hubcap is a special Hippy war drop--I had to buy mine). Still, all these items are relatively available (aside from the dockers, but the dungarees are still usable). Do we need this table? Qaianna 05:03, 18 September 2007 (CDT)
previously the dressing for success tables were highly useful, but recently it seems that someone without any idea of the purpose or structure of the tables edited them and removed most of their usefulness by entirely redoing the tables with pointless information. if the correct formula for the different ranks of players is used then it becomes a quite useful table.
Individual Elements?
What should we do about powerful things that are specific to one element? What about the groups of things that each increase one elemental resistance by the same amount?--Larryboy 03:42, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
