Talk:Jar of "Creole Lady" marrrmalade

From TheKolWiki

I got this item while in Barrrney's and had a pirate step on my toe then offer to buy me a drink. I am on oxycore, so I don't drink or eat, there was a discussion of how do I stay alive and it turns out thru candy so he gave me the marrrmalade. I assume that if you are on a different path you would get something different. I am not getting any booze at the bar at all, and everyone keeps looking at me funny when they find out I don't drink. link to the item's page: http://www6.kingdomofloathing.com/desc_item.php?whichitem=470298832

Reference to the song Christina Aguilera - Lady Marmalade --Devion 11:34, 4 December 2007 (CST)

Actually the original was Patti LaBelle in the 70's. Whats with the Jam/Jews reference in the item description? I don't get that. --Brightbutt The Defenestrator 19:07, 4 December 2007 (CST)

I just realized I knew that reference, and it saddened me :( --Devion 11:35, 4 December 2007 (CST)

I'm pretty sure that the item use message is a reference to Mama Mellace's, a company that manufactures spiced nuts and other nut-related products. Its slogan is something along the lines of "It's like-a da kiss. Da more you get, da more you want." And no surprise, the logo bears the face of a creole lady. --Tortle faced 10:37, 5 January 2008 (CST)

That's an interesting idea, Supernovame. Initially I thought it was a semi-rare adventure. I didn't even think it happened because I'm oxycore.--Lemon-claw 20:55, 18 January 2008 (CST)

Maybe the "more, more, more!" was a reference to that one episode of Futurama where Fry buys the last remaining tin of anchovies, which Zoidberg inhales, then freaks out when there's none left? Just my $.02. --Jimfromtx 14:00, 13 February 2008 (CST)
