Talk:Immaculate Seasoning
From TheKolWiki
Does Immaculate Seasoning work only for Sauce-based spells, or would it work with Pastamancer spells as well? Has anyone tested this? --Mayoress 22:34, 13 March 2006 (CST)
Immaculate Seasonin only works for Sauceror spells, and Flavour of Magic only works for Pastamancer spells. --DirkDiggler 23:17, 20 July 2006 (CDT)
Word on the street says that the formula for this is wrong: it should be a flat +10 damage bonus, not a (1/level max 10) bonus. See this HCO forums post. Can we get some confirmation? --DirkDiggler 23:19, 20 July 2006 (CDT)
Dirk, I confirm. Mysticality 5 with a permed IS, Stream of Sauce was doing 13-14 damage.

Does this however, guarantee cold damage against hot monster? since it is not there weakness?--Vhalantru 13:20, 3 February 2007 (CST)
- Yes, it will always deal cold damage to hot monsters, as that would deal more damage. --LegendaryBard 14:49, 3 February 2007 (CST)

Will Immaculate Seasoning override the element forms to select a damage type? What about the elemental tomes? --Volante 16:36, 8 February 2007 (CST)
- My guess is that elemental forms and the tomes will override this skill (as well as the 5 Flavours of Magic), but I could be wrong. --Quietust (t|c) 16:39, 8 February 2007 (CST)
- I will check tomorrow, but I believe elemental tomes do override this skill -- but only Gazpacho's Glacial Grimoire and the Codex of Capsaicin Conjuration. The three other tomes and the Flavours of Magic only apply to Pastamancer spells. I'm not sure if Hotform and company do anything either; I think those are only for melee damage. --Harry Crimboween 16:57, 18 June 2007 (CDT)
- Yes, the Codex and Grimoire overrule the Immaculate Seasoning element. The other tomes and Flavour do not. And Hotform overrides Immaculate Seasoning too, kind of -- when adventuring at the Deep Fat Friars it would, oddly enough, still pick a cold sauce... but then Hotform kicks in and the resulting damage is hot! :-) --Harry Crimboween 00:00, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
+ hot damage
QUOTE: "Does not affect sauce temperature against non-elementals, even when your equipment (e.g. enchantlers) would deal more damage with a certain element."
I feel like that may be untrue. I fought a few pirates with a demonskin jacket on and i always did hot damage against all the pirates except the smarmy pirate, who is weak against cold.
I am fighting the giants, who have no elemental weakness, using the demonskin jacket and my attacks are always hot. 14/5/2007 Idanyo
It's definitely not true (any more, if it ever was). I've been doing a lot of testing with a KoLmafia consult script which predicts damage and compares it to the result. The way Immaculate Seasoning works now is that it always picks whichever element will do the most damage. So against non-elemental monsters, +Hot equipment or effects will make it pick hot, and +Cold equipment or effects will make it pick cold. If you have both it will pick whichever bonus is greater. This has been borne out by lots and lots of battle testing, so I'll update the page appropriately. --Harry Crimboween 13:46, 18 June 2007 (CDT)
NS-13?
today after ascending I noticed that my sauce spells are doing much less damage then they should.
I am a level 3 DB with intrinsic, immaculate and stream of sauce permed
so my basic +damage should be 13 yet my spells do from 8-9 damage.
the same also occured on Gorebenders account (level 6 pastamancer with immaculate & stream) did anyone else notice this or is this a known issue?
