Talk:Giant Trash Quest

From TheKolWiki

I've just turned the wheel clockwise, rather than anti-clockwise, as suggested by the text. Thus making it the Procrastination Giant's turn to pay the bills.

That did the trick too.

  • Either way works, but remember that clearing the garbage isn't your only goal. You've got a map in your hand, and you need to have someone guarding the door that doesn't want to in order to use it. --Aardvark 04:01, 1 Jul 2005 (Central Daylight Time)
  • It works either way. No matter what, it takes two turns of the wheel to put the procrastination giant on guard duty. --Payback
  • Hi! I was confused about the reference here. I always thought this was a reference to the Journey song, Wheel in the Sky.From the chorus: Wheel in the sky keeps on turnin' / I don’t know where I’ll be tomorrow / Wheel in the sky keeps on turnin’

--Tanukisan 14:55, 27 December 2005 (Central Standard Time)

  • Yeah, Tanukisan, the reference could be to either song, really. Perhaps the article should bring up both possibilities. --Arcturus
    • I have to differ on the inclusion of 'Proud Mary'. There are plenty of songs that have wheels turning... The one in Proud Mary is on a river, not in the sky. PassionFever 01:10, 19 May 2006 (CDT)
    • I'm deleting the prooud mary reference, because it seems more clearly a journey reference and if we put in things stretching it like that we might as well include the blood sweat and tears song, as has been said there are lots of songs about wheels turning the journey song seems to be an ideal fit and with the information at hand is the most likely reference.--Practitioner of Saucy Arts 00:23, 26 July 2006 (CDT)

Rewards

This section can be used for notes on which of the 3 rewards people receive. Eventually we can determine whether it is random or fixed.

  • I have finished the quest twice now as a Seal Clubber and received the bottle cap both times. Looks like it's based on class as JRSiebz wrote below. What other factors could be involved?--Mustard 08:06, 12 August 2006 (CDT)
  • Has anyone been rewarded a bottlecap and not been a muscle class? Has anyone been rewarded the fork and not been a mysticality class? Has anyone been rewarded the glove and not been a moxie class? Of course discounting when the fork was the only reward. --JRSiebz (|§|) 19:29, 31 July 2006 (CDT)
  • I got the bottle cap and I was a Turtle Tamer, so the muscle/myst/moxie suggestion might be correct.--Mythril 05:54, 9 August 2006 (CDT)
  • muscle, bottle cap. --Evilkolbot 12:08, 12 August 2006 (CDT)
  • Mysticality, Giant Fork--Piroteknix 17:12, 14 August 2006 (CDT)
  • That's consistent with the rewards I can remember (at least three). --Crowther 17:35, 14 August 2006 (CDT)

Did I really add the table with the classes out of order? Wow, whatta Dorcus! --Jonrock 17:34, 15 August 2006 (CDT)

Bad Moon differences?

Just curious if anyone else noticed this, but normally I get the 4 immateria within 30-40 turns. I'm in Bad Moon and have spent over 100 turns without one immateria showing up. I found this odd, wondering if it's related to BM or just the RNG having a spot of fun with me.

  • I've had it take over 130 adventures in softcore. I think it's just RNG messin' with you.
