Talk:Dvorak's Revenge
From TheKolWiki
Sorry, I forgot to grab the adventure text when I was doing the puzzle. I just set up the page because I wanted to add in the reference to dvorak :) --Anmbia 11:15, 25 June 2007 (CDT)
I'm somewhat new at editing articles, so I'll put this here and let someone with a little more experience make it live.
The initial screen says:
You step into a dimly-lit chamber, and discover that the floor is covered with large stone tiles, each engraved with a single letter. It looks like you're going to have to walk on the tiles to reach the exit, and your finely-honed adventurer senses tell you that stepping on the wrong tile will probably mean instant death.
How did that rhyme go, again? "I before E, except after C"?
The instructions at the bottom of the same screen say:
INSTRUCTIONS: You are currently standing on the row indicated by the arrows. You can jump to any tile on the row directly above the one that you're standing on. If you pick the wrong tile, something terrible will almost surely happen to you. Which tiles are correct? That's for you to find out.
If you hop to a successful tile, the message is:
You take a deep breath, and hop to the next tile. Nothing appears to happen.
And the puzzle is solved by spelling "BANANAS," which is a reference to Gwen Stefani's "Hollaback Girl" song. (The MacGuffin Diary entry about the words of the elders (A few times I've been around that track So it's not just gonna happen like that) are part of the same song's lyrics.

I don't think the puzzle is generated randomly. The puzzle I got was the same as the one on the main page of this article.--Ishmail 21:05, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

I only received 26 damage. I had 1 HP at the time. --The monkey 04:47, 29 June 2007 (CDT)
I'm pretty sure that it is "bananas". I've lost so many times and it did not change any time I restarted. --Stinkoman 17:51, 30 June 2007 (CDT)
Failed Attempts
"B" then "A" works, but trying to spell "Bad" "moon" (in a vain attempt to enter hardercore) doesn't work. The "D" fails. "moon" would have to be misspelled anyway, but it was worth a shot. Gront 14:20, 8 July 2007 (CDT)
- B-A-N then "D" doesn't work either. Oh well, scratch that idea. Gront 14:35, 8 July 2007 (CDT)
