I believe this is a reference to the broken radio in Silent Hill that became increasingly louder with static noise the closer you came to a monster. One of the Jick & Co. guys (Riff, maybe?) mentioned his interest in implementing something similar into KoL. --jupider 01:30, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

does The Super-Secret Canadian Mind-Control Device, The Annoy-o-Tron 5000 and the Detuned radio's settings also gets you special rewards from the Protector Spectre, Lord Spookyraven and Dr. Awkward? Does this item stack with the other Monster Level Ups? IE Detuned radio = 10, Mind Control = 10, monster level += 20? -- semanticdm 10:26, 16 September 2008 (CDT)

• For those under a Muscle sign, the detuned radio is the Mind Control Device - it just costs 300 Meat and only goes up to 10. Thus, the only thing the detuned radio can stack with is equipment and effects that increase monster level (e.g. goth kid t-shirt, stainless steel scarf, etc.). --Quietust (t|c) 16:41, 16 September 2008 (UTC)
