Talk:Cannelloni Cannon

From TheKolWiki

I took the liberty of restarting the discussion of this skill, we need to spade for the new damage cap and gather a list of new combat stuff. --Urutsini 02:56, 13 April 2008 (CDT)

[edit] Name Change?

Before rollover on the 10th, the name of this skill was changed to 'Cannoli Cannon':

Cannoli Cannon

Type: Combat MP Cost: 7

This spell allows you to summon and then fire a cannon made of cannoli and stuffed with all manner of deadly substances.

Does anyone know when the change from "Cannoli" to "Cannelloni" occured? --ShiroSirius 20:50, 17 April 2008 (CDT)

[edit] Damage

How much damage does it do? on the pastamancer page it says it adds .15 * Myst Here it says about .03 * Myst--Wallawalla23 09:19, 21 August 2006 (CDT)

[edit] 6 of one, not quite half a dozen of the other

I tried using eXtreme Ray of Something for 100 turns, and got all of the items shown, and no others.--Foggy 09:39, 22 August 2006 (CDT)

[edit] Extra text?

When I cast the ray, I got the message, "You call forth an eXtreme Ray of Paint Thinner, dealing 74 damage to your opponent. The Ray is almost too eXtreme to control, and stuff sort of goes everywhere." I cast it vs. the Blackberry Bush, with the following equipment: Hat: miner's helmet Shirt: clockwork trench coat Weapon: oversized pizza cutter Off-Hand: kickback cookbook Pants: swashbuckling pants Accessory 1: shiny ring Accessory 2: blackberry slippers Accessory 3: badass belt --Juansidious 19:32, 12 October 2007 (CDT)

If you would do a little bit of research, you would see that this is the message displayed when you exceed the damage cap on the eXtreme ray. The combination of the Kickback Cookbook, Pizza Cutter, and Blackberry Slippers would do it. All this means is that you aren't getting quite the damage you could out of this (and if you weren't a pastamancer, you would take backlash damage). --Wildfire393 20:19, 12 October 2007 (CDT)

[edit] Re: Extra text?

Is this the case? I haven't heard anything about attacks doing backlash damage, though then again there are some skills that are better suited for taking through an ascension than others (the attack specific skills of each class definitely not being part of this group). I did a bit of testing, doing runs in the Wine Cellar, and I found that my item drops seemingly increased for the wine bottles (on average, w/o a fairy and without boosting the ray to the point where the message is shown, I would obtain three bottles of wine for every two runs. Without a fairy and boosting the damage up to this point, I would get about five botles for every three runs). This would show consistancy with the other mage class of the game, a bonus of sorts for reaching the cap that is fitting to the class. Nonetheless, I think this needs to be investigated further, along with the other spells the Pastamancer that have caps (Weapon of the Pastalord doesn't have a cap, so it doesn't fit this category)--Arashmin 18:37, 26 October 2007 (CDT)
