I've found that the lowest level of stench resistance (meager) is enough to get you into Guano Junction. The 12 February 2006 change to equipment enchantments added this resistance to the bum cheek and veil. This will probably change the dynamics of speedruns a bit, as players can ignore the Bat Hole until they have everything they need to fight the Goblin King, including the veil.
I'm wondering if Guano Junction or the Icy Peak will ever be changed to require a resistance level higher than meager.--IMJack 22:02, 15 February 2006 (Central Standard Time)

The Boss Bat seems to be a reference to boss battles in general, since his name is made of the first eight characters of "boss battle" in sequence. --Blzbob 22:29, 22 April 2008 (CDT)
