Talk:Bewitching boots
From TheKolWiki
Surprised nobody's mentioned this: Have you tried Pulverizing them?--Xero storm 18:56, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
I started testing these out against the Anime Smiley. After being hit 100 times with and without the boots, the average damage I took per round was roughly the same. I checked bad spelling vs. normal damage, and the averages are very close all around. There's nowhere near a 10% drop for wearing the boots from my initial numbers. Also, Cute Resistance does not show up on your character sheet at this time, unlike Slime Resistance. I believe Cute damage will probably be implemented in the future, and I'm guessing we'll know where it is by the pink lettering. Hmm...maybe I should see if the boots help against the MagiMechaMech's pink laser and missile? Sorry I am new to spading, is there someplace I should post my data?--Wikipediabrown 09:28, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
I'm surprised it hasn't been spaded out yet as to what happens when you wear the bewitching boots and at least another one of the "secrets" from the future. I have a multi that just got his brazen bracelet. I'll be ascending it as a pastamancer soon so I can get the boots to see what happens. --Lemon-claw 20:33, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
I got these as a reward for finishing the agua de vida bottle adventures, starting with the beginning, to the past, and finally the future. They really seem pretty lackluster for as hard as they are to get. Maybe if you were the rest of the "set" they might do something.--Bluethunder 05:36, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
- Or possibly if you wear the rest. --FoodSeeker 11:42, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- They're all accessories, and it's rather difficult (read: impossible) to equip more than 3 at a time. --Quietust (t|c) 18:56, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Here's a theory on the blank line: The other five items each give an elemental resistance, right? Well, this is the reward for Cute. But it can't give Cute resistance because Cute doesn't exist yet. So it has an empty enchantment "slot". --LegendaryBard 04:45, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
- Ya, I think this is the case. They said on the June 11 radio show something about having cute monsters, like the smiley and kitty, do some cute damage, but only have one item to resist it. Or something like that.--Yungera 02:48, 13 June 2009 (UTC)
- It might be worth checking whether this item already does offer protection against cute creatures. (I can't; I don't have the boots yet.) Possibly cute enemies: fluffy bunny, broodling seal, anime smiley, forest spirit, gnomes, bugbears, gravy fairies, Iiti Kitti, elves, undead elbow macaroni, skeletal hamster and monkey, naughty sorority orcs, harem girls. --Quine 19:39, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
