Talk:A Chiller Night (2)
From TheKolWiki
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that this adventure may have an exponential increase associated with it. I say this because getting 16 chiller night adventures (3 warm up + 13 dancing) reduced the total adventures required to reach Zombo to 142. If it isn't exponential, there may be a second mechanic that causes these adventures to rise in value (perhaps total number of flimflams in the Purple Light District). I'm curious as to whether anyone has noticed the same thing.

- It used to be exponential. Which was a bug which has recently been fixed. --Flargen 02:03, 17 July 2008 (CDT)
I got this message:
You join the ranks of zombie hobos and begin dancing along with them. You know enough choreography to really integrate yourself into the zombie dance squad, and also enough to know when to sabotage for maximum damage. When the zombies go into their eight beats of rhythmic crotch thrusting, you pretend to lose your place and go into a series of waist-high kicks. The newtonian forces at play wreak an agreeable amount of zombie carnage.

An Additional message
I'm soloing through the Burial Ground, and I'm getting something weird. After getting to the last message, I started working backwards...newtonian 3 times, zombie pile-up 3 times, initial message, and then this message:
"You join the ranks of zombie hobos and begin dancing along with them. You jump into the dance and try to fake the choreography. It looked a whole lot easier from a distance -- and the world looked a lot more blue and green. You miss a step and stomp heavily on a few toes. Unfortunately, the hobos involved don't even miss a beat. You feel like if you knew more about the dance, you could sabotage it a lot more effectively."
This is definitely the second chiller night adventure...there are no options to study the moves.

Experienced the backwards-messages as well. Got the Newtonian message at dances 15-17 and the pile-up one at dances 18-20. Afterwards I reached the boss as I wasn't the only one fighting in this area (but the only one dancing). Adventured with a -15% combat ratio.

I am up to 23 Chiller2's, and apparently something changes.
You join the ranks of zombie hobos and begin dancing along with them. You turn around and moonwalk while the rest of the zombies are leaping forward and high-kicking. You plow backwards through the zombie chorus line, leaving bodies strewn behind you.
I just noticed I don't get to beat up the Lead dancer, but this could have been happening for the last few times.

And after that (24th Chiller2) I get this one,
You join the ranks of zombie hobos and begin dancing along with them. You jump into the dance and try to fake the choreography. It looked a whole lot easier from a distance -- and the world looked a lot more blue and green. You miss a step and stomp heavily on a few toes. Unfortunately, the hobos involved don't even miss a beat. You feel like if you knew more about the dance, you could sabotage it a lot more effectively.
And I never got the ability to watch them dance on that.

Numbers
For what it's worth, on our first run through the place my clannies and I flimflammed 4 times, sent 1 batch of compost to the Burial Ground (neither of which has an effect on hobo count, right?), raided 10 tombs, and I danced 16 times (one of my clannies wasted a dance on watching) - we killed 463 hoboes before getting to Zombo. --Id 11:00, 23 July 2008 (CDT)
With zero raided tombs, a total of 23 dances (beyond which they are ineffective) appeared to eliminate 150 Spooky hobos (that is, there were exactly 350 regular kills when Zombo's Comb opened up). --Quietust (t|c) 09:44, 29 July 2008 (CDT)
In the interest of spading, I danced with the zombies a total of 22 times, and opted out of all other non-combats. Doing this eliminated 140 Spooky Hobos, meaning 360 regular kills until Zombo, and also that that last dance kills 10 hobos. Anyone want to run with this spading idea?--Dragonstrider 01:41, 8 September 2008 (CDT)
Additional glitch?
After one gets to the 23 dance limit, and you get the "need to learn" messages again, in the clan logs, it makes like you successfully danced. I've gotten two of those messages, and it says in the clan log that I've danced 25 times........--Vince3 09:54, 3 September 2008 (CDT)
