- "My god, it's full of stars!" are Dave Bowman's final words in Arthur C. Clarke's novel 2001: A Space Odyssey. Although the line does not appear in the well-known film by Stanley Kubrick, it appears in the movie's sequel, 2010: The Year We Make Contact.
- The plural of this item comes from the Latin. The ending of nouns of the first declension (nouns that end in "-a" in their nominative singular form) changes to "-ae" when they become plural.
