• The comment about gun-toting pandas and koalas and the consumption text, combined with the comment about not being sure how semicolons work, refers to the grammar book Eats, Shoots, and Leaves: The Zero-Tolerance Approach to Punctuation by Lynne Truss, the title of which was inspired by the following joke (which predates the book):

A panda walks into a restaurant and orders a meal. After he finishes, he pulls out a revolver, shoots the waiter, and is about to leave when the host asks about the strange behavior. The panda hands him a dictionary and points to the entry for "panda", which reads, "a bear-like mammal native to China that eats, shoots, and leaves." (Note the unnecessary commas.)
