Pair of Ragged Claws
Merry Crimbo, kids! It's sort of like a puppy, but more... horrific.

Weakens and attacks enemies

Ability: Attacks enemies + Barrrnacle

Throne: +5 to Familiar Weight, sometimes stuns/blocks attack

• Regular messages:

  <name> latches onto your opponent's face with his wriggling tentacles.

  <name> snaps at your opponent with his sharp claws, dealing X (+Y) damage.

• Enthroned in the Crown of Thrones:

  <name> embroils it in a tedious argument of insidious intent: to make it too engrossed in discussion to attack this round. And hey, it worked!

• At the end of combat:
  • With lucky Tam O'Shanter equipped:

    <name> flips the Tam from one of its claws to the other, then back.

  • With miniature gravy-covered maypole equipped:

    <name> slithers in a circle, leaving a trail of ooze around the maypole.

  • With wax lips equipped:

    <name> runs his tentacles over the wax lips, leaving little trails of slime behind.

Notes

• The value of X and Y are 1 to floor(weight/2). This is similar to an Imitation Crab, but unlike the crab, X and Y are calculated separately for each attack.
• This familiar attacks about 50% of the time.
• This familiar can delevel an opponent floor(weight/2) levels at the beginning of combat, exactly like a Barrrnacle.

• The familiar is a reference to T.S. Eliot's poem "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock", which contains the famous lines "I should have been a pair of ragged claws / Scuttling across the floors of silent seas."
