Oxygenarian

This is one of the paths available to you upon ascension. In this path you may not drink any booze, nor gain drunkenness through other means, such as The Typical Tavern or the drunkenness Dungeons of Doom potion. In addition, you may not eat food nor drink any non-alcoholic drinks. The use of a Cheap Toaster as well as food-giving containers such as evil golden arches is not prohibited; however, you will not be able to consume the items received. The only consumable items that you can use during an oxygenarian session are those that affect your spleen, such as canned air, wads and the basic, advanced, and final substat boosters. The 72-ounce steak test at The Brotherhood of the Smackdown does not violate the Oxygenarian path.

The following rewards come from opening your letter from King Ralph XI.

Normal Rewards

A Canned air	An upgraded Normal numerical tattoo	Either a baconstone, porquoise or hamethyst

Hardcore Rewards

Three Canned airs	A super shiny tattoo of your class	An upgraded Hardcore numerical tattoo	A path tattoo	A pork elf goodies sack	A piece of Plexiglass equipment of your class

Notes

• Like all paths, you can choose to abandon the Oxygenarian path at any time, but you will not gain any of the special Oxygenarian rewards. If you abandon Hardcore but retain the Oxygenarian path without abandoning it later, you will receive only the rewards you would get for a Normal Oxygenarian ascension.
• If you try to eat food or drink non-booze as an Oxygenarian, you get the following error:

"You may not eat food while you are on the Oxygenarian path."

• If you try to drink booze as an Oxygenarian, you get the following error:

"You may not drink booze while you are on the Oxygenarian path."

• If you try to adventure in The Typical Tavern after solving the quest, you get the following error:

"You cannot adventure in the Tavern while you're on the Path you're on."

• When completing the Azazel, Ma Belle sidequest, Oxygenarians acquire a steel-scented air freshener (instead of the steel margarita), which, when consumed, gives the Spleen of Steel, allowing for 20 spleen points as opposed to the normal 15.
