Oscus's pelt
Oscus himself did not have a pelt -- he was just an ordinary guy. He did, however, carry a pelt around with him -- a filthy, scraggly pelt from some green-furred beast. It's surprisingly soft -- almost as though it were made of felt.

- This is most likely a reference to the fuzzy green felt puppet character Oscar the Grouch, from the children's TV show Sesame Street. Oscar would appear inside of a large garbage can, and did indeed have a pelt made of felt.
