From TheKolWiki

Spadebal.gif There are some vague or non-exact figures and information on this page. Some spading is required.

Needs formulas for the blocking and absorbing.

Combat Messages
  • Regular message(s):
<name> flaps/flops between you and your opponent, absorbing the brunt of their attack. Lint flies everywhere.
<name> launches itself at your opponent, and gets tangled around its face (or face-analogue,) preventing it from attacking.
  • Vs. your Shadow:
<name> flaps/flops in front of you and attempts to block your shadow's attack, but your shadow quickly manifests an origami-crane-shaped hole in its abdomen, which <name> falls right through. Tough luck, <name>.
  • Enthroned in the Crown of Thrones:
<Name> flaps its wings against your hair, creating little sparks of static electricity.
    MPYou gain 5-6 Mana points.
  • With lucky Tam O'Shanter equipped:
<name> looks at you with its Tam O'Shanter cocked jauntily to one side. If it had eyes, maybe it would wink.
  • With miniature gravy-covered maypole equipped:
<name> floppily flaps its way around the maypole. Or flappily flops, perhaps.
  • With wax lips equipped:
<name> grins at you with its wax lips, and flaps its wings listlessly.

Arena Messages

  • When entered in an Obstacle Course:
<name> isn't very good at either flying or walking, so an obstacle course is maybe not the best choice of event for it.

Notes

  • Loses experience after absorbing an attack. How much experience is not known.

References

  • The item description is a reference to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, specifically, the quote "Hey, you sass that hoopy Ford Prefect? There's a frood who really knows where his towel is!"
  • The combat messages may be a reference to the mattresses of the same series. Specifically, the messages with variations of "flop" in them, because the mattresses do all manner of things "floopily" and other words that seem to be just off of the word "flop". More to the point, perhaps, towels are rather floppy by nature, and any sort of wing motion by a bird made of towel would be more of a flop than a flap.
