- The effect title is a play on Optimus Prime, of Transformers fame. More specifically, it refers the leader of the Maximals in the Beast Wars series, named Optimus Primal.
- The 'work harder' line is a reference to the Dilbert-esque manager-speak cliché, 'Work smarter, not harder.'
