This is a drink known, for some reason, as an old-fashioned. I guess in the old days they took their whiskey with cherries in it. That must be what the XX on the side of those bottles meant. Xherry Xherry.
(In-game plural: old-fashioneds)
|cherry||bottle of whiskey|
|You drink the old-fashioned. Back in the days when these were popular, you had to walk three miles in the snow, uphill both ways, to enjoy one of these.|
|You gain 3 Drunkenness.|
- The consumption text refers to both 'old-timers' exaggerating the difficulties they had in their days, and the At Last the 1948 Show skit The Four Yorkshiremen that takes that practice to an entirely new, ridiculous level - such as having to walk "uphill both ways".
- The description text "Xherry Xherry" is probably a reference to Greek, whhere the letter Chi is pronounced like "Ch", but looks like "X". It is probably also a reference to the Neil Diamond song Cherry, Cherry.
