You enter the Billiards Room, cue in hand, and see something strange. Standing next to the pool table is a ghostly figure, but unlike the ghostly figures you're accustomed to seeing in here, it doesn't seem to be trying to kill you.

It guestures at the table with a ghostly hand. It seems to want to play a game of pool with you. As you watch, a set of balls flies onto the table from a nearby shelf and neatly racks itself.

Shall we play a game?

You break like you've never broken before (but not like a little girl.) The balls crack apart with an earth-shattering sound, and spread around the table like a swarm of angry bees.

In a stroke of incredible luck, the 8-ball sinks into a corner pocket. You won the game in one shot, and it gives you a much-needed opportunity to strut your stuff.

You slowly back away from the table, out into the hallway, out the front door, and back out the Right Side of the Tracks. Then you turn around and start walking normally again.

Notes

• This adventure will not occur unless you are adventuring with a pool cue equipped.
• The Spookyraven library key is a one time drop that will not occur without the Chalky Hand effect.
• Run away, Taking a walk and Chicken out does not use an adventure.
• The stat gain options for this adventure will yield approximately 1x your (unbuffed) mainstat, capped at 50.

• The title of the adventure is a reference to the famous pool player Minnesota Fats.
• The bit about Orion is a reference to the Ani DiFranco song "Untouchable Face": "I watch the changing constellation/of the balls as we are playing / I see Orion and say nothing / The only think I can think of saying is..."
• The text in the "Break" option refers to Bob Dylan's song "Just Like A Woman": "And she aches just like a woman / But she breaks just like a little girl."
• "Shall we play a game" may refer to WarGames.
• "A hustle here and a hustle there" are lyrics from Lou Reed's Walk On The Wild Side.
• The ghostly game of pool bears a resemblance to the 1961 Twilight Zone episode, "A Game of Pool".
