Maximizing Your Weapon Damage

 Maximizing Your Weapon Damage
| The Hermit humbly requests that this page be rewritten or expanded.
Should weapon power/smacking (which now only multiply Weapon Power)/criticals be taken into account?
|
This page illustrates how players of different means can maximize the damage they do in weapon combat, following the guidelines in Dressing For Success.
Note that since the elemental powder potions (phial of coldness, phial of hotness, phial of sleaziness, phial of spookiness, and phial of stench) convert all damage to the corresponding element and are fairly cheap, and elemental damage is not absorbed so long as the monster is not aligned with the chosen element, the equipment choices below were made according to total bonus damage over all elements, plus the physical bonus.
A listing of weapon damage modifiers can be found at Bonus Weapon Damage. Since weapon damage is largely dependent on Muscle, readers may also be interested in Muscle Modifiers and Maximizing Your Muscle.

Notes
- The palm-frond whip may not be the best of choices as it can break in combat.
- Sharp Weapon indirectly increases weapon damage by increasing weapon power.
