The name of this item (and its description) is a cross between a Manwich (and its advertising slogan: "A sandwich is a sandwich, but a Manwich is a meal") and painter Édouard Manet.
In 1863, Manet's painting The Luncheon on the Grass was rejected by the Paris Salon, the official art exhibition of France, and was instead displayed at the Salon des Refusés.
