Last Egg Gets Al
You hear mirthful shouting and a general hullabaloo nearby, and discover a group of men standing waist-deep in a pile of eggshells. "Come on, Al!" one of them shouts. "That's 49! Just one more to go!"
"What's going on?" you ask.
"Oh, hey. You ever see the movie 'Cool Hand Luke'?"
"Sure. 'Sometimes nothin' is a pretty cool hand.' Good movie."
"Yep. We made a bet with Al here that he couldn't recreate the scene where Paul Newman eats fifty hard-boiled eggs. There's a catch, though." The guy holds up an egg the size of a softball. "We're using ostrich eggs."
"You've got to be kidding me! No man can eat fifty ostrich eggs."
"That's what I said, but Al's about to prove us both wrong." He hands you the egg, saying "Here, you can do the honors."
"I don't have to cut any of his fingers off, do I?"
"No, just give him the egg."
You approach Al, who's looking severely bloated and green around the edges, and offer him the egg. He reaches for it, hand shaking, but then his eyes roll back in his head and he collapses to the ground.
In the ensuing hubbub, you wander off with the egg, unnoticed.
Occurs at The Palindome (one time adventure).

- The line "I don't have to cut any of his fingers off, do I?" is a reference to the movie Four Rooms.
- The egg consumption is a reference to the movie Cool Hand Luke wherein the title character eats 50 boiled eggs to win a bet.
