I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Asterisks.

At the bottom of the Enormous Greater-Than Sign, you find a small pile of asterisks.

You stand there for a while trying to figure out what they are, and what to do with them, but fail. You decide to do some situps, instead.

• The name of this adventure is a play on the title of the song I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts, which was written in 1944 Fred Heatherton and sung by Danny Kaye. It has been covered many times, including by Monty Python.
• In NetHack, asterisks represent rocks, various useful stones (such as luckstones), valuable gems, and worthless pieces of glass.
