- The name of this effect is a reference to the long-running "Got Milk?" advertisement campaign in the US.
- As stated in the milk of magnesium entry, the real Milk of Magnesia is intended to quell heartburn.
- The "terrible heartburn" that the flavor text alludes to is due to the reaction of magnesium with water and/or stomach acid.
