Oddly enough, gin has existed since the dawn of time. When the first protozoans got together at single cell bars, they drank gin. It's always tasted exactly like a pine branch dipped in kerosene, but it's not quite as strong now as it used to be.

- "Gin has existed since the dawn of time" may be a vague reference to The Restaurant at the End of the Universe in which it is stated that all cultures have invented some form of drink whose name sounds like "gin and tonic."
- "Single-cell bars" is a reference to the Far Side cartoon of the same caption.
- The consumption text refers to Bender, a character on the TV show Futurama, who drank copiously and would shoot a small blue flame out of his mouth whenever he belched.
