This is a flask full of finely aged sherry. Our sources tell us its color falls somewhere between a fino and an olorosso, which is good to know. You wouldn't want to say "hey, this is good Amontillado, but why are you bricking me into this dead end in your wine cellar?" and have your captor say "No no, this is clearly an Olorosso, you plebeian." Embarrassing.
By the way, it's pronounced "Ah-mont-ee-YA-do." The 's' is silent.

- The name and consumption message refer to the Poe story "The Cask of Amontillado", in which Fortunato is chained and sealed in the rear of Montresor's wine cellar. The consumption message is a quote of his, "For the love of God, Montresor!"
- The line "the 's' is silent" is from an episode of Family Guy, where Lois mentions a nuclear holocaust and Peter tells her, "You said 'nuclear'(NOO-klee-ur). It's pronouced 'NOO-kyu-lur'. The 's' is silent."
